The other day I shared a recipe with you on my blog consisting of oatmeal, unprocessed cheese and egg, click here to see it . Now it’s important if you trying to burn fat and tone muscle that you build your meals around protein right? You guys know this if you are around me because I am always preaching this stuff right? Anyway I had this crazy idea this morning so I decided to experiment with a slightly different variation of this. Here is exactly what I did.

I put 2 cups of oatmeal in a large petre dish (oven proof and microwaveable). I don’t know if I am spelling that right and spell check is of no help whatsoever with this one. Anyway I poured 1 cup of water in the dish and stirred it around a little. Then I grated a layer of Dutch cheese on the top of that. Then I cracked four eggs on top of that. Next I put that in my toaster oven along with 2 ripe plantains and set the time to 5 minutes and went about my business doing other stuff around the house. After a few minutes I smelled it so I went to check on it. Holy Toledo! It was done! Less than 5 minutes. I sprinkled some BRAGG’s organic apple cider vinegar on that and now for the taste test. Hmmm not bad at all especially considering the nutritional value which is very high especially when combined with the baked plantains. Anyway if you managed to put in an early Wednesday morning workout like I did, you can replace lost electrolytes by washing that down with some fresh coconut water straight from the coconut(6 electrolytes compare that to gatorades 2 electrolytes plus other negatives like food coloring, sugar, salt plus a number of other additives I can’t pronounce). So I know I am not going to win no academy awards with this breakfast but my body thanked me and that’s all that matters. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you 🙂
